TPS-Genetic Algorithm for Real-Time Sailing Route Planning based on Potential Field Theory

Real-time route planning is always a difficulty in maritime traffic. Route must take into account the complex meteorological environment. based on environment real-time update basis of feasibility. Based potential field theory, this paper proposes TPS - Genetic algorithm for sailing ships. On genetic algorithm, combined with characteristics planning, turning point sorting operation added to improve calculation efficiency, and further performance planning. Simulation experiments are established compared A* algorithm. The experimental results show that theory can accurately express dynamic changes Marine meteorology, path planned by more suitable navigation be applied ship system, which adjust energy base plan routes according needs shipping companies.
